The PESC week (after its Brazilian Portuguese acronym for Engineering and Computer Science Program) is a joint event held by the Alberto Luiz Coimbra Institute for Graduate Studies and Research in Engineering of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro – Coppe – one of the leading centers for education and research in Engineering in Latin America. Founded in 1963 by engineer Alberto Luiz Coimbra, COPPE brings five internationally recognized researchers to its capstone seminar every year (one keynote for each day of the week). In this year’s event, C5I Director Costa was the featured international speaker invited to present his work on defining ROI (return of investment) in cybersecurity.
