Sam Best (CS BS), Tommy Chin (CS PhD) and Noah Korzak (CYSE BS/BAM) win first place in the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Cyber Warfare Challenge
Oct 25, 2024: Congratulations to George Mason students Sam Best (CS BS), Tommy Chin (CS PhD), and Noah Korzak (CYSE BS/BAM) for participating in and winning first place along with the $60,000 prize in the Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Cyber Warfare Challenge. Eleven teams from colleges and universities nationwide took part in the competition, working to solve real-world cybersecurity challenges relevant to the Navy and gaining crucial experience and skills for addressing complex cyber threats in the future. The teams represented Tennessee Tech, the University of Florida, the University of Mary Washington, the University of South Florida, Rochester Institute of Technology, Marymount University, George Mason University, Western Governors University, the United States Naval Academy, the University of South Alabama, and The Catholic University of America.
